Day 1 – Day 1: Exploring Asraf Village

In Asraf village, visitors can marvel at breathtaking natural beauty and ancient homes preserved in their original state, offering a unique glimpse into Uzbekistan’s rural heritage. This village, nestled amidst the Nuratau Mountains, stands out for its clean air, distinctive nature, and the hospitality and kindness of its residents, which are sure to leave you in awe. Visitors stay in local family homes, where they can enjoy the stunning surroundings, including large gardens, walnut groves, and a variety of fruit trees. Guests are also welcome to prepare meals using freshly harvested vegetables grown on-site. Activities like baking bread, milking cows, and cooking traditional dishes are available, allowing travelers to fully engage with the local way of life. Most importantly, the family welcomes guests as if they were part of the household, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. During your stay, you can walk along the river in Asraf village and see a 1,200-year-old mulberry tree. Observing the daily lives of the villagers offers a deeper understanding of their traditions. Day 2 – Day 2: Trekking Adventure

After breakfast, with the help of a local guide, you’ll embark on a picnic trek through the Nuratau Mountains. The trek covers 7 km (4.349 miles) and reaches elevations of 1,800–1,900 meters. Along the way, you might spot wild deer and explore historical petroglyphs that reflect the village’s rich past. You’ll also have the chance to visit old houses from the 19th century, showcasing the architectural heritage of the area. At a designated spot in the mountains, you’ll pause for a picnic, enjoying the fresh mountain air. From the heights, you’ll witness panoramic views of five surrounding villages and Aydar Lake. The trek, including both ascent and descent, lasts approximately 8 hours, with 4 hours spent climbing and 4 hours returning. After the trek, you’ll return to the village to rest and enjoy a traditional dinner. Asraf village offers an authentic and immersive experience for travelers looking to connect with nature, explore history, and embrace the warmth of Uzbek hospitality.
